Rocha de Pena

A self guide walk, on a marked path around this nature reserve takes in both caves and karst scenery. One of the caves, known as The Moor's Cavern was used as a shelter during the re-conquest of Portugal when the locals, under the leadership of D Paio Peres Correia were being attacked by Christian King S Alfonso III.
