El Nacimiento (the birthplace) is the resurgence of the Rio Mante. It is a popular tourist sport, close to the Ciudad Mante. The spring is located at the foot of a high cliff, where the water leaves a cave system below the Sierra del Abra. A huge lake with clear blue water is a fine place for a hot summer day.
The place is well developed, with paths, parking lots and restaurant. It is possible to swimm to the cave entrance, but the cave itself is waterfilled and not accessible.
