The Caves of Susmay are a river cave which is not developed. However, the visit is recommended to the more adventurous visitor, informations are given at the AFE-COHDEFOR office in Gualaco and the visitors' center alongside. The lower level of the cave is the resourgence of the Río Susmay, it is entered by swimming. This is rather dangerous and so visitors are advised to take a guide.
