Qala Qala cave is famous for cave paintings. These pictures and carvings are mainly of llamas. They are thought to date from the Wankarani Period (c 800BC-AD400). The custodian, Francisco León, lives nearby. A local tour company, Viajeros del Tiempo, also organise trips to the cave.
