History

Description

The Musejnaja is a famous tourist cave, although not developed. Numerous trekking tours to the wild and poorly developed Altai include a visit to the cave. It is considered to be an easy cave, but it inludes some drops which require at least some routine in climbing. It seems people attending the trekking tours are of that kind and do not have any problem with the cave.

Musejnaja is praised for its abundand speleothems. The bones of prehistoric man and some animals were found in the cave. ANother sight are the bats living in the cave.

The cave has two entrances which are only 50cm high, but up to 2.60m wide. Two entrance passages both lead to drops which allow access to the main cave. The main part of the cave is a system of six chambers connected at various levels.
