Dimbulagala, also called Gunners Quoin, is a hill which stands out 545m asl. The hill has a dagoba on top. At the foot of the hill lies a Buddhist hermitage which has been occupied almost continuously since the 3rd century BC. It is the first of 15 cave temples which are located alon the trail to the top of the hill.
