Tham Pha Tok is located in a cliff face. The cave was used during the war in the 1960s as a hideout, a bamboo ladder was constructed to the entrance, and the floor leveled. The remains of the old ladder can still be seen, but a new wooden staircase has now been built.
Nearby is a small, wild but easy to visit cave called Tham Bank (Bank Cave). The main passage has a nice keyhole profile.
