The Grotta di San Giovanni is a huge cavern with two entrances. It is used as a natural tunnel for a road. You can drive through with your car. Caves used as road tunnels are very rare.
The main passage is used as a tunnel in its whole length of 850m. In the middle is a side passage to the west. The whole cave has very little speleothems, but the cave fauna, especially in the side passage is interesting.
