History

Description

Kamarai Gorge is one of the gorges carved into the Psiloritis mountains ridge. At its lower end it not only a narrow valley, it is only one meter wide with vertical walls. The ascending floor of the gorge is used by a trails and developed with stairs. The result looks like a winding and roofless corridor. To visit the most spectacular part drive west from Kamares to the entry of the gorge, where the road turns sharp left. Walk into the gorge for about 300 m, until it opens up again. The short walk is easy and takes about half an hour.
