Description

The Netherton Tunnel Branch Canal is part of the Birmingham Canal Navigations (BCN), and links the BCN Main Line with the Dudley Canal. It was built to relieve pressure on the Old Dudley Tunnel.

This was the last canal tunnel be built in Britain during the Canal Age. It is of comfortable size and has two towpaths with handrails, one on each side. So it is possible to walk or cycle through the tunnel.
