Description

The map of the Grotte de Limousis (Limousis Cave) is almost boring. A straight sequence of eight chambers, one after the other, almost horizontal. But the content of the cave is extraordinary, abundant speleothems of various kinds. Highlight is the formation in the last chamber, a huge aragonite stalagmite which is four meters high and has a circumference of ten meters. This is said to be the hugest formation of its kind in the world.
