This theme parc focusses on the formation of karst caves and the prehistoric remains found in the local caves. There are reproductions of important caves, cave paintings, engravings and so forth.
In an attempt which is called experimental archeology, it is tried to reinvent the things found at the caves. For a long time the archeologists only thought about how a certains stone tool was produced. Here they try to do it, and so they found out a lot of interesting details about the daily life ten thousands of years ago.
The exhibition focusses on the Magdalénien period. There are reproductions of tents and stone, wood, and bone tools. Demonstrations of flint tool production, fire making, and spear-throwing are made several times during the day.
The parc has an area of 13ha and includes all kinds of facilities, like restaurant, barbecue area, shop and exhibitions.
