La Sablière produces and sells rose oil, which is destilled from rose leaves. This is an ancient method of producing perfume manually, in old distills fired by wood. Today such things are made by multinational companies in sterile factories. The destillery located in the centre of Doué la Fontaine offers touristic visits to their cellars, where the rose oil is produced.
