The motto of Laurent-Perrier is engraved on the stone fountain in front of their domain: ne buvez jamais d’eau (never drink water). Quite easy to understand in an era of unhealthy water which causes diseases. But today a little risky, when alcohol is condemned to be unhealthy and high quality drinking water comes from every tap. But the champagne of Laurent-Perrier is among the most vivacious and lighthearted of all champagnes.
