The Museo Regional de Prehistoria y Arqueología (Cantabria Regional Museum of Prehistory and Archaeology) at Santannder is an ideal place to start the exploration of the local prehistoric caves. It has a permanent exhibition about prehistory, protohistory and ancient history. It displays the findings of the caves of Altamira and Puente Viesgo.
