Sa Cova d'es Coloms (Cave of the Pigeons) is a single huge caver, a cathedral like chamber which is 110m long, 15m wide and 24m high. It is named after a special type of pigeons which live in this cave in huge amounts. They are called palomas torcaces by the locals and are hunted for centuries.
This cave is located in the Barranc de Binigaus, a deep and impressive gorge, at the foot of a cliff. On the top of this cliff is the village Binigaus. The cave is very popular for a siesta, for barbecue, and the local kids often make parties here during summer.
