Kanowna Belle Goldmines are not really tourist mines, but working opencast gold mines which do not offer tours. But there are two public lookouts at the AurionGold mining operations. One shows an abandoned open pit with developed underground access, the other one offers views of the processsing plant.
Kanowna Belle is one of the lowest cost gold producers in the world. The production cost is only AUD 6,135 per kg. The total production is about 8,000 kg per year (1998).
